Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas announced the arrival of the 10,560-lb (4,790kg) ZX50U-5N excavator in the spring of 2022. This compact excavator allows the engine speed to be matched to the job with power/economy work modes. Reduced tail swing and an independent swing boom allow the ZX50U-5N to work in congested areas. A standard quick-coupler-equipped, boom-mounted auxiliary line makes attachment hookup a snap.
