This past year, INDYCAR Series race fans signed in to win a pair of tickets to see this year’s exciting 2019 NTT INDYCAR Series ABC Supply 500 at the famous Pocono Raceway as guests of Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas Inc. (HCMA). The contest was won by Hershel Geeo of Santo, Texas.

After an exciting season of racing, Josef Newgarden took home the Astor Cup as the 2019 INDYCAR Series Champion. Although finishing 8th in the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey, his total of 641 points put him 25 ahead of fellow Team Penske member Simon Pagenaud, 33 more than Alexander Rossi and 63 ahead of Scott Dixon. Hitachi Motor Sports has been proud to be a part of his winning team this year. Congratulations Josef on another winning season with many more to come. “The Road 2 Pocono Sweepstakes” was introduced in 2018. Building on Hitachi Motorsports’ long connection with INDY racing, the Sweepstakes was back again to bring two new lucky winners to the Pocono event in Long Pond, PA.
Customers and friends of Hitachi Wheel Loaders were invited to enter their ballot online (no purchase necessary) for a chance to win a once in a lifetime opportunity for a three-day two-night weekend getaway alongside the Hitachi INDYCAR Series Racing Team. Official details were available at the website or from any authorized Hitachi Wheel Loaders dealer. A winner was chosen at random from all entries submitted by the Sweepstakes deadline.
The #WeRHitachiLoaders 3-day weekend, from August 16th to August 18th, culminated with the 2019 NTT INDYCAR Series ABC Supply 500 on Sunday afternoon. Hershel Geeo and his wife, Priscilla had a wonderful weekend of racing and received:
- Round-trip coach airfare and ground transfers for two
- Two nights hotel accommodation (one room/double occupancy)
