The ZX50U-5N was among a select group that stood out and was honored with the 2022 Innovative Iron Award.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas Inc. (HCMA) announced the arrival of the 10,560-lb (4,790-kg) ZX50U-5N excavator in the spring of 2022. This compact excavator provides big performance with power/economy modes usually reserved for larger excavators. Reduced tail swing and an independent swing boom allow the ZX50U-5N to work in congested areas. A standard quick-coupler-equipped, boom-mounted auxiliary line makes attachment hookup a snap.
