Product Assurance & Regulations Manager – Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas, Inc. – Newnan, GA.
Job Duties: Identify, evaluate, communicate, and document issues concerning technical standards, pending regulations and other issues that impact company products and organization, and provide an avenue for formulating the required industry position and actions. Promote safe and legal products through complex technical and safety-related legislation and environmental legislation. Determine potential risks and requirements related to standards and regulations for products (I.ERoHS, TSCA, REACH, Conflict Minerals, Tier 4+, etc.). Monitor standards and regulations and communicate internally. Monitor global legislation with industry impact. Maintain heath and material traceability as well as critical emissions controls, MSDS. Participate in industry organizations such as AEM, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and related. Communicate important information to impacted and impactful personnel. Influence and drive solutions that are understandable and acceptable to others. Promote best practices and SDG’s concerning safe product design and use.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related engineering or scientific field. 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Metallurgist, or related occupation. 5 years of experience in the construction equipment industry. 5 years of experience in managing compliance records and tracing them to individual components through the product lifecycle. 5 years of experience in compliance and certification documentation management. 5 years of experience with BOM/parts drawing systems, including demonstrated experience in MS Office Suite and material compliance measurements. Up to 20% U.S. domestic and international travel is required.
